It has been a strange week and indeed a strange couple of months; I know a couple of guys in Ukraine and they are obviously affected by what has and is happening in their country. Meeting them, talking about what was happening felt slightly unreal. No, in Denmark our regent has no power. We have little or no corruption. In Denmark we have no really bad problems.
Understanding Ukraine as a country is difficult from afar, though I have a feeling it isn’t much easier from up close.
Then last week happened and watching from over here I was touched, appalled, scared for my friends and hoping for the best. All the while having to rely on short messages and a press that seem to understand less by every day; their simplified understanding of a vast country being undermined minute by minute. How does a revolution transpire?
Everything seems to have quieted down again and I hope they all find a peaceful way to move forward.
