I keep fanboying over Peter Capaldi, and his performances as an actor. I’ve begun to appreciate his other artistic endeavours – a few hundred people will be able to experience him singing live in Glasgow next month – but mostly I love his acting.
I first saw him on Doctor Who and it is the role he was born to play. The writing may have been all over the place in his tenure but he really got the chance to show his range. I also think that he brought out the best in his co-stars, especially in Jenna Coleman whose second story arc was an actual character arc with Capaldi.

As a strange companion to Capaldi’s tenure as The Doctor there’s The Devil’s Hour, where I still can’t decide if his character is a psychopath or merely an extremist. I hope the last season doesn’t ruin the series.

Before Doctor Who, he was however most famous for his role as Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It. Warning, language (the video can’t be embedding here, due to language restrictions).

The reason why I am yet again thinking of his performances – and rewatching some of them – is that saw a video of him talking about a possible cameo or special appearance.

Peter Dougan Capaldi.
*How* are you able to hurt my feelings by telling me that I won’t ever see you as the Doctor again, *and* simultaneously make me go “hell yeah” with your awesome explanation?
“I’m Dr. Who, really.
So, I haven’t got time for that.”
