GMO crops against climate change

I recently had a discussion flare up after 5 years on this blog, with a commenter rehashing his ideas about GMO, Monsanto and nuclear power. It quickly degenerated with baseless claims being tossed around and having spent too much time already trying to argue with COVID deniers, I shot the discussion down.

Anyway, it is very appropriate that there’s a new paper “Genetically modified crops support climate change mitigation” because of course it does. Just like modern wheat doesn’t emit as much CO₂ as emmer or spelt does, per unit of food.
